Guides for Personal Assistants
These are the “Supporting Me” guides for Personal Assistants (PAs).
There are two copies of each guide. One is a PDF colour copy , with photos and drawings. The other is a text only version of the guide (a word document), with no photos or drawings. This can be emailed and printed out easily on a home computer. It can be altered by an individual employer so that it is personal and tailored to them. Their photos can be added to it. (these are large files and will take some time to download).

Learning Disability Development Fund |
This year (April 2010 to March 2011) our area of work has £15,470 from the Partnership Board's Learning Disability Development Fund. We have not decided yet how we will spend it. We will put a notice here when we decide. We also have £8,880 from last year that we are spending this year for an Action Learning Sets project. Here is the report from last year's project: 2009-10 - Intensive Interactions (jointly funded with Person Centred Approaches Sub Group) Here is the report from the previous year's project: 2008-09 - Develop Workforce project We have produced a draft pledge as part of our Thumbs Up campaign. This is based upon what people with learning disabilities have said make good services. We will be inviting services to join our pledge scheme next year. If they do this they will receive a DVD featuring people with learning disabilities talking about good services. |
